AMC Ro Studio, together with Liquid Development, partnered with Motive Studios to bring their vision of remaking the popular game Dead Space to life. AMC reconstructed environments and locations from the original game, bringing them into the Frostbite engine.
For Environment Artists, the tasks were diverse. We created trimsheets and tiling textures, modeled new assets from scratch, and enhanced the look of existing ones with further detailing and trim mapping. We also engaged in World Building work by kitbashing entire rooms and levels from existing elements, set dressing with props, and utilizing Frostbite-specific tech assets to convey the terrifying mood of the game.
Our work also required problem-solving skills, as we encountered a wide range of situations that required us to provide architectural (re)design solutions that support gameplay and satisfy the art direction.
Overall, our collaboration with Motive Studios allowed us to contribute to the successful recreation of Dead Space, delivering an immersive gaming experience for players.
